Background
Randika Perera graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, in 2025. In 2024, during his third year, he completed an internship at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where he distinguished himself through first-author publication in IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics (DOI: 10.1109/TMECH.2025.3605585) and contribution to a design patent application filed with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (App. No. 30202500716S). For his final year project, he led a four-member team to develop an autonomous golf companion robot featuring human-following and GPS-based navigation capabilities. In January 2026, he joined the Center of Flight Sciences, Temasek Laboratories, National University of Singapore (NUS), as an Associate Scientist, where he is engaged in R&D on nano-drone indoor swarming.
