Background
I joined NUS as a lab tech since 2002 and worked in ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering) for 10 years. After that, I was transferred to SSLS (Singapore Synchrotron Light Source) where I worked for another 10 years. And after that, I was transferred to MSE (Materials Science and Engineering) where I worked for another 4 years. During my time in ECE, I handled the sputtering system, helped with the maintenance of other equipment, lab safety and purchases. In SSLS, I am the Safety Lead who handled purchases and part of the accelerator team that ensure the operation of the synchrotron. In MSE, I am the coordinator for undergraduate module experiments, conduct safety inspection for MSE research labs and maintenance of teaching-lab equipment.
